C4 . Study the advertisement. You and your family are going to spend 2 weeks on holidays in Alania(Turkey). You have just found an advertisement about a nice hotel. You are making a phone call to the hotel to make some clarifications. In 1,5 minutes you are to ask 5 questions. You have 20 seconds to ask each question. Find out: - location of the hotel - rooms for a family of 4 availability - distance from the hotel to the sea - price for 2 weeks - discounts for small kids under 3
Possible questions:
Where this hotel is located? (Where this hotel is situated? What is the address of the hotel?
How can we get to the hotel from the airport?)
Are there family rooms for 4 persons?( Are there rooms for family of 4?)
Is it far from the sea? (How far it is from the sea?)
How much does it cost for 2 weeks? (What is the price for 2 weeks?)
Do you have any discounts for small kids under 3? (Are there any discounts for kids under 3?)

C5. Imagine that while travelling during your holidays you took some photos. Choose one photo to present to your friend. You will have to start speaking in 1,5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes.
In your talk remember to speak about:
- when you took the picture
- who/what is in the photo
- what is happening
- why you took this photo
- why you decided to show it to your friend
You have to talk continuously, starting with:
I’ve chosen photo number ….
I’ve chosen photo number 2. While travelling I always take lots of photos and today I’m going to tell you about one of them. I took this photo last summer when I was on holiday in England with my sister. It was the early morning.
In the picture you can see three ladies. It’s my sister in the centre. Two others are her friends from Singapore. There are some people in the café in the background of the picture .
My sister and her friends are standing in order to take picture to recall their meeting at the gift shop. They are smiling and look absolutely happy.
I decided to take this picture because I really like travelling abroad and making new friends. I have a big collection of different photos with them. This one will remind me about my new friends and my travelling.
I show you the picture because I know that you are keen on travelling as well. I’m sure you will go abroad sooner. What do you think about it?

You have to talk continuously.
Слайд 10
There are 2 pictures here and I’m going to compare and contrast them now.
In the first picture we can see a quite rich vegetable market . It seems to be in the street. In the background we can see men. Perhaps they are salesmen. They are talking while they are waiting their customers. The second picture shows a department in the supermarket. Some people are choosing their goods very carefully.
These pictures have a lot in common. For instance, both pictures are about foods and it can be called shopping. Another similarity is plentiful of goods for selling. There are a lot of kinds of foods on the shelves, they look fresh and nice.
However, these pictures have certain differences too. In the first picture the goods are vegetables whereas in the second picture they are milky ones. Unlike the first photo, there are 3 customers in the second picture. Another difference is customers’ clothes; people are put on warm clothes like vests in the second picture, whereas in the first picture they put on light clothes only. The most striking difference is that selling in the first picture takes place in open air in the street, without conditions, and there are modern refrigerators for foods in the supermarket.
As for me I’d prefer shopping in the supermarket, because the provision will be fresher and cleaner than in the market.
In conclusion, I’d like to notice that these pictures have some differences, but shopping theme unites them.
