Kazan Kremlin

Tower Syuyumbike

The Raifsky Bogoroditsky Monastery
The Raifsky Bogoroditsky Monastery is the largest active male monastery of the Kazan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The Raifskaya Hermitage was founded in the 17th century by the hermit Filaret, 27 km north-west of the city of Kazan. Upon the death of his parents, following the advice of the gospel, he distributed all his estate to the poor and took monastic vows in the Moscow Chudov Monastery

The Temple of All Religions
The Temple of All Religions, also the Ecumenical Temple, the International Cultural Center for Spiritual Unity - an architectural structure in the village of Old Arakchino in the city of Kazan, dedicated to different religions of the world. The only one of its kind in the world, a popular landmark of the city. The construction began in 1994 by the artist, architect, sculptor and public figure Ildar Khanov. The idea came to him after traveling to Tibet and India.

The Tatar State Puppet Theater "Ekiyat" is the largest and one of the oldest puppet theaters in Russia. It is located in Kazan on St. Petersburg street in the Vakhitovsky district of the city. The name of the theater is derived from the word tat. әkiyat - "fairy tale". Built in the form of a fairytale castle-palace, the theater building is an important and popular landmark of the city. The Ekiyat Puppet Theater was founded in 1934 as the First State International Puppet Theater.
