In terms of the total capital of its own banks, Kazan ranks 3rd in Russia, second only to Moscow and St. Petersburg. The city is home to Russia's largest Technopark in the field of high technologies "IT Park", as well as one of the largest technoparks in Europe - "Idea". Kazan has the only electronic trading platform outside Moscow for placing orders for federal needs.
