This style of art appeared in 1960. The main idea is to represent usual things like products from supermarkets or pictures of a person in a funny and unusual way.

The most famous Pop artist was The American Andy Warhol. He painted products like Campbell's soup, Coca Cola bottles and bananas.
He also painted other everyday images. For example, his bright portraits of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, the famous actress, became very fashionable.

A lot of furniture is made in this style.

However, lots of people do not accept Pop Art is a real art form. However many original Pop Art works were sold for millions of dollars.
I think Pop Art is the new way of looking at everyday world.
